DESCRIPTION

In order to help to slow down the spread of the Covid-19 and due to the lack of available equipment, we are helping to design and 3d print face shields. They are designed to use a 8.5" x 11" PVC binding cover sheet available at most office supplies stores. We are donating those to local essential workers and nonprofit organizations. Not only health workers but anyone that is working at the front line.

  • The design is based on the Protective visor from Erik Cederberg / 3DVERKSTAN. However we modified it for the shield to sit further away so it can better accommodate people with glasses and reduce chance of fogging. The construction helmet design has been made by Jean-Luc Guillemette.
  • We recommend printing them using PETG since it withstand better sanitizing cycles. However PLA still works if its all you have.
  • Infill can be between 20% and 100%.
  • The stackable versions can only be printed using a 0.4 mm or 0.5 mm nozzle.
  • A rubber band can be added at the back if your head is too small but is not required as the design fits well on most head sizes
  • View the different product images for the recommended Cura settings to use.
